lol, i don’t think nationalism will be so important in then as it is today as earth will be only one planet amongst hundreds and we’ll probably be known as ‘earthers’ to the galaxy.
They can travel round the earth in seconds probably and so whats the point of saying youre from one particular place?
How do you know that Sulu didn’t have any Korean ancestry.
i’ll be glad when people stop dividing the world into them and us and realise we have a common destiny together if at all.

You seem to have missed my point totally, ur such a trekky u completely went off on a tangant. I’m analysing the project – the Move; not science fiction. u seem desperate to defend it. My Point: there’s a difference between those races, and they’ve neglected it by being ignorant and classing “them as all the same” I bet this film will be a pile of toss Blockbuster- no substance; u can tell by the choice of actors already

i didn’t miss your point: you overlooked my answer by immediately dismissing me as a trekkie.
But that illustrates my answer. Your critisism relates to tribalism; sterotypically dividing people by race or culture (or trek liking.)
If you hadn’t stalled prejudiced and got to my answer instead, you’d have seen that what i’m saying is that in the time of star trek, there would be no tribalism because with the weapons they have such nonsense would have made the human race extinct.

What are an Ironically low-intelligence nerd or something? Im talkin actors and casting, ur still talkin about the fiction in the theme of the movie, nevermind man
intermendersays
yes, and what is the purpose of casting if not to serve the theme of the movie?
But i can see we will never communicate. Thanks for the discussion. I’m sorry you’ve come away from it with such a low opinion of someone who thinks differently from you.

It was Russian, not German. And Anton Yelchin (the actor) was born to a Russian family, which is why he can do it so well – though he’s said himself that he didn’t make it as accurate as he could have, out of tribute to the original Chekov.

I saw this movie and think it was no less impressive than Avatar – great acting, directing, magnificent visual effects. Chris Pine, Winona Ryder, Eric Bana and Jennifer Morrison did a brilliant job!!!
