Star Trek: Voyager (DVD) Evaluation

Star Trek: Voyager follows the exploits of the crew aboard the starship USS Voyager. As the series begins, the Voyager is on a Federation mission to record a rogue ship of Maquis rebels (a race first introduced in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine). While in pursuit of the Maquis, the Voyager gets in a system referred to as the badlands, and both ships are immediately transported to the Delta Quadrant over seventy-thousand light-years away on the outskirts of the galaxy. Soon, both the Maquis and the team of Voyager learn they were brought to Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker, a strange force supervising the security of the Ocampan race who live in the shadow of an impending risk from the vicious Kazon. When the Kazon destroys the Maquis ship, the Voyager crew combines with the Maquis team to safeguard themselves from the Kazon. Having ruined the gadget which could bring them home, the team of the Voyager – led by Capt. Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), and the team of the Maquis ship – led by Commander Chakotay (Robert Beltran) should work as a joined front in order to satisfy their shared objective of finding a method house …

The Star Trek: Voyager DVD includes a number of amazing episodes including the series premiere “Caretaker” where the Federation starship USS Voyager, led by Capt. Kathryn Janeway is unexpectedly transferred 70,000 light-years away while pursuing a band of Maquis rebels through an area known as the badlands. The Voyager’s brand-new location is the Delta Quadrant, an uncharted area of the galaxy overseen by the Caretaker and threatened by the colonial aggressiveness of the Kazon … Other noteworthy episodes from Season 1 include “The Cloud” in which the Voyager mistakenly hurts an alien life type while searching for an active ingredient to enhance its energy supply, and “Learning Curve” in which members of Commander Chakotay’s ragtag Maquis team are given a Starfleet Academy tutorial on the best ways to act correctly aboard the Voyager …

Chosen for 30 Emmys, including seven for Outstanding Special Visual Effects for a Series, Star Trek: Voyager continues the abundant custom of the initial 1960s Star Trek franchise. Created by former L.A. police officer Gene Roddenberry, the Star Trek TELEVISION series changed into a franchise popular for the extraordinary fanatical commitment of its fan base. Lasting just 3 seasons throughout its initial network run, Star Trek struck gold with its syndicated reruns, introducing a variety of movies featuring the initial cast in addition to books, comic books, antiques, and reams of Star Trek-related memorabilia. The 3rd spin-off from the original Star Trek series, Star Trek: Voyager premiered in January 1995 to modest important recognition, however, experienced terrific success with television viewers, gradually increasing its scores as the series progressed. Following on the heels of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993), the series precedes Star Trek: Enterprise (2001) while boasting an all-star cast that consists of veteran actress Kate Mulgrew (whose past TELEVISION looks consist of such programs as Dallas, Cheers, and Murphy Brown). Yet instead of pursuing the traditional Star Trek objective to “boldly go where nobody has gone before,” Star Trek: Voyager is more about going where the crew has actually been prior to …
