where can I get color prescription contacts other than online?
well, I go to deaconess clinic as far as my eye care, and I get my glasses and contacts there. I really want color contacts, but they do not have them there.my prescription isn’t expired, and I was wondering if there was any place I could go to that would sell me prescritption color contacts? specifically acuvue 2 colours. I know you can get them at 1800-contacts and other places online, but my parents won’t let me buy them online. it’s not an option.

Take your prescription to any optical store…just about any optical store sells , or can get Acuvue 2 colors.

How much were your prescription color contacts?
I plan on going an eye exam from Lenscrafters and to get prescription contact lens. I know that I have to pay a $10.00 co-pay. But I was wondering how much did you pay for your prescription contacts? (I know prices may vary on the type of prescription it is.) Does it cost more for color contacts? How long do they take to come back? Did your insurance company cover most of the expenses? Where did you go to get them?
admin answers:
20 bucks.. Plus shipping. They’re geo lens (google em if you dont know what they are) from korea. Alot of people sell them online. Prescription isn’t extra charge either. There’s lots of different designs/colours/plain colours etc.

So my question is; am I damaging my eyes by wearing color contacts with prescription glasses?
I wear my prescription glasses over my non-prescription color contacts. I know this must sound crazy, but I’ve been wearing gray contacts for years, and I find it rather difficult to part with them. So my question is; am I damaging my eyes by wearing color contacts with prescription glasses? Both have been prescribed by opticians. My particular prescription, which is a plus toric prescription, isn’t available in color.

Do I have to have prescription color contacts if I have bad vision?
I wear regular contacts that are prescription and clear. But I cosplay and I want to get colored contacts. Unfortunately prescription colored contacts are very expensive in comparison to plain (plano) colored contacts. Is it possible I could wear just the plain and not be able to see? Or will this damage my eyes?
admin answers:
I wouldn’t recommend it. I know personally, if I read stuff without my contacts in I tend to get bad headaches, plus not wearing your contacts and being in scenarios that require seeing does worsen vision, in my experience. Honestly, I would recommend just using your regular contacts until you have enough saved up to buy colored contacts, as that would be safer. Plus, I think at a con, not being able to see would make it a lot less fun. If you really want to buy the cheaper contacts though, they might be useful for a few hours for photo shoot, but I wouldn’t spend an entire con without my contacts in. It’s one thing to walk around for hours on end in a suit of armor, or in a heavy costume, (which I would call sacrificing for your craft, which all us cosplayers do to some degree) and it’s another thing entirely to risk your vision which you’re gonna need for the next 50+ years.
