Joseph asks…
Star Trek fans: Are you amused, or appalled, by the ongoing attempts to cash in on the show?
The reason I ask is, at the casino where I work (Turtle Creek, near Traverse City, MI), we recently took delivery of a couple of slot machines which use graphics derived from the original TV series. They’re actually kind of neat, I think, because they feature bonus games inspired by actual episodes. (two words: Tribble Pinball)
Please let me know what you think.

Gee, tonight I just got back from Newbury Comic with a Original series phaser and communicator combo. I figure I’m going to embrace my inner nerd and go to the Star Trek movie in may in full star fleet costume.
It may be a geek thing to do, but it’s fun. Football fans, wrestling fans, rock group fans, wear jerseys or logo shirts to events right?
I think Star Trek is reasonable on their merchandising. Fans need a little stuff to enjoy. The new tricorder and bridge I’m looking forward to.
I think if I were to pick on shameless marketing I’d go with Star Wars. They had it down to a Darth Vader Mr. Potato Head.
In the end, it will level out at what the market will bear. Maybe a whole lot of dealers got stuck with TY beanie babies when collective America finally woke up to realize they were cute kids teddy bears, not 50 dollar collectors items.
I figure if Trek wants to make a fair dollar with something people will enjoy who am I to argue. People have fun and are happy. When it gets to the point a little kid can’t get an action figure because a guy goes into a store at 9:01 am and buys all of them to resell to “collectors” that’s where I struggle with it.
I like tribbles and tribbles like just about everyone… Well except Klingons.
Live long and prosper!

i have spent over $350.00 on this system and am not in a rush to get rid of it. I am looking to trade it or sell it to the best offer. interested in cash, other systems, electronics, anything of equal value but no animals. no low ballers.

admin answers:
Well dude to be honest, don’t sell your ps3. There are so many good games coming out for ps3, get call of duty modern warfare 2 and god of war collection, theres god of war coming out, tomorrow there will be the new army of 2 its awesome i played it, ps3 is way better than xbox and psp go, the psp go is awesome but not as good as ps3 i know cause i have one. But you should just buy a psp go theres games like assassins creed 2 where you can connect to you psp go if you buy assassins creed bloodlines which is awesome!
