That is so awesome! I noticed that the feet aren’t bolted together, have you tried to actually walk in the suit like in the first 3 episodes? I understand Bob May had a really difficult time walking, that’s why the Bermuda shorts were created.
Hadibah says
Yes the feet aren’t bolted together. Its my first time inside and I wanted to try walking but I forgot two of the bolts in the leg braces so I didnt have enough travel. Maybe next time. It is a lot of work being inside!

Hope you’ll make another video soon. Maybe a reenactment of the robot going berserk like in the first epsisode, such an awesome scene.

That was great! I have seen the site where they actually build the robot, which is also very cool. Thanks for posting.

It’s like the original Robot picked up where he left off! It’s so much nicer with someone inside a costume! Very nice!

That is one awesome robot costume thanks for sharing! You are right about the priceless bit… I believe most scifi buffs would absolutely love B9 in their living room. I’ve got one question… Were you able to make the feet treads operational? So you would be able to cruise around on battery power? Oh and another question, if a person is 5’11” and 180# would this be too cramped a costume to build?
Hadibah says
@rncade Thanks for the comment! There isnt any room for motorizing the treads since its a costume. A 5′ 11″ person probably couldnt fit inside.
rncade says
Hey thanks for the reply…. My son and I watched your clip again! We really want one. But as a costume I figured I was not the right height… “sob sob” we ended up getting a 2′ B9 robot and one day I’ll buy for myself one of those 1/2 size replicas!! Just as priceless, I hope. In the meantime I’ll watch your awesome clip, with alot of envy! You rock buddy and you have the robot to prove it too! Again, Thanks for sharing.

This is great! I am am 45 years old and when I see this magnificent creation I am 10 years old again. Damn what fantastic job in both the suit and the individual inside.

Hadibah: What an amazing set of highly gifted natural talents and finely honed skills God has blessed you with! You’ve not only done an astonishingly magnificent job in recreating the highly complex, finely engineered costume construction resultant from the unique marriage of talent that was Robert Kinoshita and the staff of the mill shop at 20th Century Fox Television, but just in this footage of your “maiden voyage” as it were, you exhibit an uncanny knack by way of your exceptionally coor

What a profound tribute you have created in honor of that amazingly talented, enthusiastically inspiring, tender-hearted, kind and selfless man! God bless you!!

Was it harder to make it as a costume?
Hadibah says
@michaelhviper I wouldnt say it was harder. But there are so many variables when making a B9. Some make them as a lighted static display, or you can go as far as making it motorized with moving arms, head and treads.
michaelhviper says
@Hadibah How can you have the arms move?
Hadibah says
@michaelhviper With a person inside moving them or through use of robotics.
michaelhviper says
@Hadibah Robotics.
