I enjoy listening to the editorial comments from Cenk, and am against the bill as I understand it. But, give us a break with comments like The Bill would “punish the teachers with up to 30 days in jail — which is absurd.” What is absurd about including some means with which to enforce a law? Maybe a case could be made for 45 days incarceration. While we may agree that matching punishment should be ‘None,’ at least we should also agree that any law should have enforcement.

@mreynold1000 you stupid dawg?

@erjoalgo Huh? “You stupid dawg?” Is that a question? Is it an insult? Is it a compliment? Is it English? Be clear about what you are writing if you are going to reply. I hope you are not trying to intone that I am stupid, for if you did, it was in a very illiterate manner. Please speak with clarity, dawg.

@mreynold1000 hahaha I am losing patience for retards like yourself whose opinions are damaging to society. Yes, idiot, it is absurd to put someone in jail for using a government “censored” word. If your ignorant ass ever learns anything about history, you will find that it is in fact much worse than just absurd. Jail itself is a primitive means of dealing with crime. It does not improve people, in fact it compromises the mental health of those entrapped in that barbaric justice system.
erjoalgosays
@erjoalgo If you think jail is the way to go, you… you are just a dumbass, I don’t have time to convince you of how stupid you are. The final note is that, Yes, it is patently absurd. And regarding your point about law enforcement, no, not all laws have to be enforced. Especially if the law in question is heavily controversial, such as this one, it is enough of a victory for those republican clowns to get their law passed because that sends the message that “gay is wrong”.
erjoalgosays
@erjoalgo THAT IS ENOUGH OF A VICTORY FOR THOSE CLOWNS. THE LAST THING WE NEED IS TO PUT TEACHERS IN JAIL FOR SAYING SOMETHING THAT THOSE CLOWNS DON’T LIKE. And, as George mentioned, it is these clowns’ own insecurity about their sexuality/marriage/morality (or their retarded dogmas) that motivates their hate/intolerance. Now what do teachers have to do with this? So yes. YES IT IS ABSURD to put anyone in JAIL over this. I hope you get something out of this, otherwise go fuck yourself.

@NewYorkCityUSA7 What is your problem with it?

@erjoalgo I just feel in my heart that marriage should be between a man and a woman. I’m not homophobic at all and I’m all for some form of civil unions for gay people that gives them all the rights of married people, but I can’t get past what may be “old fashioned” thinking, but that’s just how I feel.
mreynold1000says
@erjoalgo You are truly without a clue, and have signs of schitzophrenia. You say “hahaha I am losing patience.” You say “I just feel in my heart that marriage should be between a man and a woman,” but then you add “I am not homophobic” — I’m not saying you are, but to end it with ‘at all’ shows your motivation. Do you just vent whenever you can, even when inappropriate, with a gibberish that can’t be understood? Now that that has been addressed… reread my original post.
mreynold1000says
@erjoalgo I didn’t argue for jail-terms. I clearly stated that I AM AGAINST THE LEGISLATION. Wake up man! If you want to argue against what I did say, you would argue that Cink should continue to also give an inappropriately emotionally worded statement without any factual basis. As long as you are preaching the history tone, consider the similar words of GW Bush, for that doesn’t even have to be mulled over too long, or did you forget even that too? Only reply with support for namecalling.

Inappropriately emotionally worded statement? To say that it is absurd to throw people in jail for saying a government censored word? Nah
erjoalgosays
@NewYorkCityUSA7 Fair enough. Yeah, if there is a sort of legal status that gives gays ALL the rights of married couples, I don’t see the big fuss about gay marriage. Gays should just wait until society is more open minded, meanwhile reap all the legal benefits of marriage. To push for gay marriage just for the “title” seems like just too much right now.

@erjoalgo I don’t think they should have to wait, no group of people who isn’t being given something that the majority of people has isn’t right, and telling them to just wait is kind of rude, would you tell an interracial couple that they should have just waited? no, if everyone just waited around, stuff wouldn’t get done. You’re looking at it as just a title, but it means so much more than that to the gay community.

@erjoalgo Also, this is the age of the internet, nothing is too much right now, change is constant, due to the easy access of information now adays it’s easier to get people to accept/tolerate certain things.

@dojOdRiFTeR Yet i bet you’d have no problem attending an assembly regarding the rights of black people or asians, lolz, also, learn how to speak English =D The point of any assembly like that are to try to teach students that people are who they are so don’t discriminate them, like racism or sexism or discrimination against the disabled, it’s the same thing (and a gay assembly? really? this sounds like cock and bull)
